The Booster Club, through its mission to support North High School athletics, allocates 15% of its annual budget for special requests. The primary purpose of the Booster Club is to support CHSAA sports at North High School. The School’s clubs and activities are limited to 5% of this budget (0.75% of the total) for all special requests. More information about the Booster Club, its mission, and its policies can be found on the website at https://denvernorthboosterclub.com/

Student athletic fees go to the district athletic office. Those dollars help pay for transportation, officials, equipment, and other athletic expenses. These funds do not go directly to North High School.
Athletics aren't funded through the school budget like other extracurricular activities (band, drama, choir, etc). Athletic departments and individual athletic programs have been tasked with raising funds to cover basic necessities to operate and stay competitive. This is why a Booster Club is necessary.
We recognize that there are many other groups, clubs and club sports that need additional funding at North. We also recognize that not all students participate in CHSAA sanctioned sports. However, 65% of North students participate in CHSAA sanctioned sports. Currently, there are certain financial requirements/obligations that programs have that neither the school or the district cover. We want to help those coaches and athletes spend more time participating and coaching the sport that they love rather than fundraise.
The booster club has allocated the following percentages to their annual budget: 45% Operational Costs (allocated to each program on a per athlete basis), Major Project/Capital Improvements 35%, Requests 15%, and Rollover 5%. How the funds are spent for the major projects and capital improvements will be determined through a collaborative process between the Booster Club Executive Board and the Advisory Board (school). Currently (without being voted on or discussed) upgrades to the softball field and putting turf on the lower grass field is a top priority.
We recognize that North is a diverse school in both culture and socioeconomic status. This type of funding model not only mirrors the way schools/departments are funded, but allows raised funds to go to each program in an equitable way. We are pleased to say that the North coaches have been in full support of this funding model.
We are hoping to have a "major" fundraiser during each season. Once the Booster Club receives the funds, it will be dispersed/allocated to each program. This will take place three times throughout the year. i.e. Volleyball will receive their funds in the fall, winter, and spring (based on how many athletes participated in football the previous year and on how much money was brought in by the Booster Club)
The Boosters will not focus on raising funds for North High club sports and groups which are not listed as CHSAA sanctioned sports. However, if there is a specific need identified for these groups, funds can be requested.
Per the bylaws 15% of the Booster Club's budget is allocated for additional requests (Requests - 15% (up to 5% allocated for clubs/activities to be voted on by the Board). Those requests are to be made in writing to the Executive Board. The executive board has the right to fully approve, partially approve, or deny the request.
Please go to denvernorthboosterclub.com and contact us. We love to hear all the fundraising ideas that you might have.
The executive board is made up of "up to" 15 people (1/3 community members/parents, 1/3 alumni association nominations, 1/3 advisory board appointees). Board members are nominated at the annual general meeting.
Multi-sport athletes may be "excused" by their coach from participating in the SNAP fundraiser more than once during the year.
